Mind the Gap No. 78
Inspired by Albert Gunter, a London bus driver. In 1952, realising Tower Bridge was suddenly being raised, he bravely hit the accelerator and jumped the gap, landing safely on the other side. Mind the Gap No.78 was exhibited at the London Transport Museum as part of the 2019 Poster Prize for Illustration: London Stories exhibition organised by the AOI (February - July 2019). It won the Museum Collection Prize, as voted for by the visitors of the exhibition. 'Mind the Gap No. 78' will permanently be a part of the museum's collection.
